what do you love about this city? >> i first came when i was 21 years old. i rode the dog over from gainesville on an overnight trip and fell in love with the city ever since. a friend of mine moved over here from canada and he liked the french speaking aspect of it and cajun comes from canadian, so i feel a great affiliation for the city and i come back every year. >> and you are back here right now, crystal, that's your vodka, most people probably didn't know you had an interest in wine. talk about this. it's really pure and what is so special about this? >> allow me to take a bottle over here and show you. >> this is the most special thing about it. >> well, this launched. custom designed bottle from alexander. he just had a show at the american wing of the smithsonian. owns a couple pieces in the

right now. >> when you come to new orleans and you want the very best, you have to come to the palace. the restaurant is 133 years old and chef torre has been working off and on in this restaurant ever since he was 17 years old. the menu changes, but there's some things that stay on the menu. you can get turtle soup. you can always get that bread pudding souffle and you can always get my favorite, gumbo. and today he's going to make shrimp gumbo for me. >> we have oysters, we'll lay these down. okay. it doesn't have to be really expensive. a quick shot of brandy. >> wow. >> take it up. that's how we do it down here in new orleans. >> uh-huh. >> we'll do to finish this dish, we'll add a little rice. >> everybody loves gumbo with

rice. some rice goes down. that to the side. and the most important thing about gumbo is the rue. >> it's always that dark rue. it gives it that beautiful louisiana flavor. >> oh my goodness. >> what else do you have? you have some okra. >> we have some as a garnish. we don't want to cook our seafood too long here. >> because it will be hard. >> that's right. we'll take a piece of our shrimp down. these are wild caught out of the gulf of mexico. just like they should be. beautiful. red fish there. i tell you what, i love oysters. so salty, so plump and juicy. these are beautiful. >> oh wow. >> and okra is actually -- >> i like okra. >> it is really good. the gumbo is the african word for okra, so it's been around

it does appear that the ground hog will see his shadow on saturday, which means six more weeks of winter. >> everybody, kristen berset here live at the mercedes-benz superdome in new orleans. day two of super bowl week, which means the craziness that is media day has come to an end. it's an afternoon filled of characters and funny stories and thousands of journalists walking around trying to talk to these players. but you know, it's not all craziness, there is some seriousness. a chance for players to look back and reflect on the ride to get to the super bowl. the 2012 season has been a wild roller coaster ride for baltimore that left them sputtering into the playoffs. but long time general manager told us today, the team never lost sight of their final destination. >> yeah, still in mind, and if

from today. >> what makes this year so special for this team? >> we put together the defensive piece. the emergence of torrey smith and the vertical game. and dixon to give him the interimmediate. and ray to continue development. each of those pieces built a collective picture that you see right now that's pretty darn good. >> much different when you won the super bowl. ravens were known for that defense. now they have become very offensive minded as well. when you seen flacco improve over the last five years, he takes a lot of flak as well. what is it about him that you have been impressed with this season and his career so far? >> under that kind of criticism because when you do it on a team that has been as good as they have been, ultimately that focus is going to come back to you, even though as evidence by last year's championship game, it certainly wasn't joe flacco
